Ear lobe repair is typically done under local anesthesia, ensuring that the procedure is comfortable and pain-free. The torn area is carefully sutured to restore the ear lobe's natural shape. Most patients can resume normal activities within a day or two, though it's important to avoid activities that put pressure on the ear lobe while it heals. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to help minimize scarring and ensure proper healing. Stitches are typically removed at 1 week. Most patients achieve a smooth, natural ear lobe with minimal scarring. Healing times vary but full recovery usually takes about 6-8 weeks. Dr. Schneider does not recommend re-piercing the area until about 2-3 months after the repair. A re-piercing should be performed by someone who understands wound healing and where to place the new piercing.

You can go about your daily activities after getting pierced.
